I’m a Mom, a structured project manager, and a health-conscious foodie wannabe who is always moved by photography work.
My photo style is simple and natural. I bring good humor, relaxed attitude, and attention to detail and together we capture the (formal, silly, important, quiet, tender, fast, exciting, casual, strategic) moments to bring your vision to life. My passion is in dynamic, live moments, clean lines, and warm emotion. Connections and memories created during photo sessions are what fuels my love for photography, the art of saving your time and capturing your light.
The first intro to visual arts I sneaked from my Dad’s extensive collection of books on art history starting at age 3. I poured over Picasso, Rembrandt and Van Gogh, and I dreamt. I painted and played with a film camera, mostly in the local park and documenting the shenanigans of eager and willing classmates. In my late teens I lucked out to befriend an amazing, acclaimed L.A.-based photographer and get introduced to a digital camera, shadow her during wedding and portraiture sessions and later even assist. I was click-hooked.
Fast-forward through several years of formal training in NY, a gallery showing, and a whole treasure chest of photographic projects worldwide, I landed in the Chesapeake Bay, focusing on family photography, portraits, lifestyle, commercial, corporate, real estate, and always - the art of saving time and capturing light.
Photography in the Severna Park and Annapolis, Maryland region is dynamic and fulfilling work. Whether we are reflecting on the Severn River in Arnold, capturing the varied hues of a Chesapeake fall, or strolling down the cobbled streets of downtown Annapolis, the memories we will capture are investments to last generations. My focus is family portraits, newborn, maternity, senior year, corporate, commercial, lifestyle photography, and all that makes you, well, you.
Photography is, simply put, painting with light. It's not about Nikon vs Cannon, long lenses, frames per second, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, or gear. While all of those elements are integral to my shoots, they do not help create a moment nor do they artfully capture one. Your unique personality is always my focus, which is why my sessions are casual, comfortable, and playful. I am there to see the light, find the light, and position the light, but most of all, to capture your light.
